A few pictures of my garden today. I added 6 new plants (5 herbs and vanilla grass). Everything is growing better than I honestly expected. I’ve never had a green thumb, none of these have come naturally or easily, and I’m fucking proud.
Just look at all those peppers!! I cannot eat that many peppers!
I also discovered our second and third flowers on the squash this morning! Do those turn into squash? I don’t know, I’ll find out soon though.
The melon vine has turned around and attached itself to itself, so that’s cute.
My strawberries are all green and growing since I moved them to new containers, but I still have no signs of actual strawberries.
I think my tomato plants shot up several inches overnight. I cannot wait for them to start bushing out and looking like the photos of red Robin Tomatoes online. No signs of actual tomatoes either.
The herbs are all thriving (not talking about the new ones). We’re eating off them nightly and they are still getting bigger. I’m especially proud of my second year Italian oregano (not pictured), we aren’t eating off it (Magnus does some), but letting it heal from it’s rough winter. It has some nice new green shoots. The vanilla grass was actually bought to help protect year-2 oregano from Magnus. It’s suppose to be safe for dogs, and they like it, so win-win.
When these new plants get settled into my routine I’m going start adding some houseplants. Turns out, difficult or not, I really enjoy container gardening.
I still think I’d hate any gardening that actually involved tilling dirt. That shit sucks.
