Celebrating Felicia and Kaarthik

The Carter family is overjoyed to welcome Felicia's new husband, Kaarthik, to the family! Kaar is a special person, I think we knew he'd be in our lives for a while after their first visit Dad and Mom (Jim and Betty) Carter.  This past weekend a lot of the family got together there again to celebrate their marriage.

We were fortunate to have Veronica Sparrow Photography there to capture photos of the days events (we can't wait for more than teasers). We had a delicious lunch with catered barbecue pork shoulder, fried cabbage and sausage, meat loaf, potato salad, home made yeast rolls, a whole table of desserts, and more.  We posed for some photos, played some music, and talked.  We sat in the shade of my parents tree in their yard and just visited, carrying on a lifelong tradition.  It's so great to have family gather from states away to catch up, remember times gone by, and welcome new family.

Some of the family stayed overnight so the visit kept on going through Sunday.  Everybody was so tired that it was a slower day, but much of the same.  Just enjoying each others company and savoring the time we had together.
