Earth Day Weekend 2018

Daniel and I are still struggling with the cold/flu he had last week and I had this week, but we wanted to take advantage of the beautiful weather Nashville had on Saturday anyway.

I had purchased tickets to Dogs and Dogwoods at Cheekwood. We went to Star Bagel for sandwiches before heading down, while Magnus got antsy about his promised adventure. By the time we got to Cheekwood he was all worked up. Magnus got to make art with -artist name- and meet a dog from The Old Dog Santuary. He also loves exploring all the beautiful gardens.

On the way to Cheekwood we passed Centennial Park and saw they were having an Earth Day celebration. We headed over there after Cheekwood to check it out. Since Earth Day was a free event we let Jake know we were going so he could meet us too. Earth Day had one of my favorite food trucks and we all got Retro Sno cups (Magnus loves their pup cups).

After we were all exhausted from all the parks we headed home. While Magnus and I rested, Daniel and Jake played Bro Force and had a great time.

Sunday was for resting, it was raining and despite well laid out plans, we were exhausted. Daniel made banana bread and I napped. It was a good day.
