Yesterday it was in the mid 60's and sunny in Nashville, luckily Daniel had the day off so we got to enjoy it.
He took a 20+ mile bike ride through Shelby Bottoms and Two Rivers Greenways to start his day and when he got home we took a nice 2+ mile walk as a family. We visited the downtown dog park behind the Ascend, it's ridiculous how much poop is left in the downtown dog park since the new high rises went in. When the park was mostly homeless people, it was actually cleaner. I hope the city addresses the issue before spring.
Nashville is growing so fast, it's amazing to watch. It's also shocking that in just a few frigid weeks I missed whole buildings appearing while I was staying warm inside. Views that we've lived with for nearly a decade are changing rapidly, but somehow still feel comforting and familiar. Living in a city growing as fast as Nashville after growing up in small towns most of our lives is amazing. I never thought a city street or a city park or cranes covering the sky could be so homey and comforting.
