Wonderful Niblings weekend

This weekend Daniel's niece, Bekah, had a comedy show at Zanies so her and her husband, Joshua, came to stay the weekend with us. They arrived on Friday and we visited for a few hours until they caught a Lyft to their show. They said the show was really great. It was Drew Lynch, if we had known he was in town before tickets sold out we might have gone too, he's really funny. After they came back to the house we visited for a little longer before we all headed to bed exhausted.

Saturday we all got up and met Daniel's nephew, Jake, that just moved to town, and his company, Brianna, for brunch at M.L.Rose. We had a great food and good service. After brunch we decided to head to the Flea Market for some people watching. We had a great time, but Daniel and I didn't do great at just people watching. We ended up getting some charms for necklaces for me, some vinyl (I can't walk past it without looking), nine additional lego people for our letterpress drawer shelf, a 1995 copy of the Opryland map the year it closed (we're going to frame & hang it in the house), a kitchen stool, and a comfortable loveseat.

We left the flea market and headed back home to drop everyone off so we could go back and pick up the couch. The truck battery was deader than a door-nail, so with Daniel and Bekah's knee injuries I decided to just take Jake back to load the couch up in my Nissan. We emptied everything out of my car, laid all the seats down and scooted our seats forward as far as possible and headed over. We absolutely got the couch and stool to fit without any issues. It felt extremely lucky. Joshua and Jake were kind enough to carry the couch up and Brianna and I got the cushions and kitchen stool.

After getting everything unloaded, Jake and Brianna went and picked up her puppy, Violet, so the dogs could also visit. Then we headed to Martins BBQ for dinner. It was okay, it seems the busier they are the lower quality the food is. We had a nice time anyway. After dinner we headed back to our place to visit for the rest of the evening.

Daniel and I feel so lucky to have these wonderful young people in our lives, since Jake now lives within walking distance we can have multiple sets of them at once! We're extremely excited about the possibilities.

This week will be four days of head down trying to accomplish as much as possible before a 3 day weekend with our good friends, Jason and Megan. We have big plans for them this weekend too, and Daniel's other niece Felicia and her beau, Kaarthik will be staying at Jake's, so I'm sure we'll have a house full.

On Thursday we also went and bought a Trek TANDEM bike!!! We're hoping Daniel will be back up to riding in two weekends and we'll be able to go biking together!!
