Cold February Weekend

Friday evening Eventbrite had their annual party. This is Daniel's fifth Eventbrite Nashville annual party. Several "OG" Nashville people discussed how much the office (and party) had grown over the years.

This years party was Great Gatsby themed and I was excited. Last years party had been disco themed and I hadn't found out about the theme until the last minute. I wasn't as disco as I would have liked. This year not only did I know ahead of time, I already owned the flapper. Last year I had watched for a deep discount on a flapper I liked. I found the one I wore at the party for 75% off.

The event was at The Bedford Nashville Event Venue. We had never been, and the location. This beautiful venue is situated right off of the highway between Cracker Barrel and La Quinta Inn. The entire venue was lovely, from the red carpet outside to the stunning interior architecture.

The event was amazing. There were multiple photo booths including a 3D photo booth. There were arial performers, a live band, and an ice sculpture. There were many dessert and appetizer bars, open bar, and a lady in a champagne skirt for sustenance.

It was wonderful seeing everyone dressed to the nines and getting to see all the EB people I don't see everyday. I'm hoping everyone lobbies for a Rockabilly theme next year.

Saturday we had some amazing omelettes for breakfast. Daniel then rode 15+ miles in Shelby Bottoms while Magnus and I stayed home in the warm house and read. When Daniel got home he made us the most amazing pizza from scratch. Happy National Pizza Day!

Sunday, Daniel and I decided to go to The Frist so we don't miss the "Life, Love & Marriage Chests in Renaissance Italy" exhibit. When we got to the Frist around 2, the Predators game had just ended and it was impossible to get parked. Instead we decided to see the exhibit during the week and have a lunch date. We headed over to Von Elrods for an "Angry Bird" sausage as a backup plan.
