Jim Odell Carter | July 31, 1942 – May 23, 2022

Jim grew up on the side of a mountain in Monticello, Kentucky. He raised part of him family in Indianapolis, Indiana and the rest back on the side of a mountain in Monticello, Kentucky.
He raised my husband, his youngest, on the side of those mountains in Kentucky. When Jim was stuck in a nursing home in the middle of a pandemic we did what was needed and got a house with a room for him to move in with us.
We sprung him from his nursing home "jail" and got the best roommate. Living with Jim for the next year was such a blessing. He's my second favorite roommate (Daniel is #1) of all time. We both got to know Jim as friends. He got to see our favorite places, and enjoy adventures around Nashville.
197 days after he decided to go home he's left this world and is comfortable now. I hope he was greeted by his sister Betty, his cat Miss Priss, and his own Pop. And that they are having a beautiful visit full of belly laughs.
