April was a month of rejuvenation and simple pleasures, where almost every day felt like a breath of fresh spring air. With nature waking up in vibrant greens and blossoms, Daniel, our pups—Magnus and Cirrus—and I found ourselves embracing the outdoors.
As the weather brightened, we set off on countless walks. One of our favorite spots has to be the Zrnovnica River—Cirrus’ absolute paradise. There’s something magical about watching him joyfully explore the riverbank. Equally charming is the Jadro River, where the city draws its water. We spent many hours wandering its lovely park, soaking in the beauty of the place.
April brought an explosion of green everywhere—plants in full bloom, trees dressed in vibrant leaves, and a landscape that felt like it had sprung right off the television (hint: it did, Croatia is a popular filming location). This seasonal transformation sparked our love for patio dining. One favorite was our visits to Submarine Burger. The burgers were always amazing and the pups loved the patio.
Above Beach Žnjan you can find a little wild area nestled between the hotels and the beach. The view, especially while much of Beach Žnjan was under construction, was beautiful and a nice change to our regular neighborhood walks.
The gentle April sunshine, the cool river breezes, and the burst of green all reminded us to savor every moment. Whether we were enjoying a quiet walk with Cirrus along his favorite river or sharing a scrumptious meal at a bustling patio, every experience wove together a tapestry of joyful memories.
