Second Anniversary | Stay-cation part two

We decided to celebrate our actual anniversary with a picnic at the park where we got married. Luckily the weather was perfect - it was over 80°! We arrived at Bicentennial State Park a little before noon and Daniel headed to the farmers market to pick up lunch while Magnus and I took a walk around the park and scoped out good picnic spots. There was a shady spot in the amphitheater where we could sit and enjoy the view from our wedding location. Daniel picked up some Colombian and Indian food from the Farmer's Market and we set up with our new picnic basket under a maple tree.

It was an absolutely lovely way to celebrate our two year of marital bliss.

Yesterday Daniel and I celebrated our Second anniversary. I am so grateful to have my best friend by my side on this journey of life. Every day since our first kiss has been better than the last. I cannot wait for decades of adventures with this man by my side.

We build each other up and encourage each other to grow and become better every day. I love our life, I love our weirdness, and I love our quirks. Simply, I love us.

Ammi

It's hard to capture in words just how much Ammi means to me. She loves and cares for me, she teaches me, she strengthens me. She brightens each day. I count my blessings each day I wake up with her by my side. I love her, us, and the life we've built together.

Daniel

Daniel and I made a ton of practice water colors preparing for our anniversary project. It's how we spent Monday before our actual anniversary and sunset of our actual anniversary - we were painting. These paintings are about 2" x 3", so very tiny.

The 8" x 5" paper we made for anniversary paintings took all night to dry and we will be finishing their details & framing them this evening with any luck. They will get their own post after they are framed, but the cotton paper takes longer to dry than any of the store bought watercolor paper.

See if you can guess who painted what.
