Tennessee Renaissance Fest Weekend 2018

What an amazing weekend!

Saturday we went to the Tennessee Renaissance Festival with Jake and our friend Kaylen. We haven't been to the fair in a few years because Sir Magnus cannot go because the birds of prey do not get along with puppers. We had an amazing time despite the heat. We had wonderful food, we saw fascinating things, and we ran into our good friends the Mullenix family! Ryan composed and played the music for our wedding and we share a wedding anniversary. Seeing them is always so wonderful.

Sunday we called our Moms (and my Granny) to wish them a Happy Mother's Day. After that, we headed out on a bike ride and Jake met us to ride too. I had planned on a shorter ride, but it just felt so good that we went 12.5 miles (all the way up into Shelby Bottoms)! In the swampy area in Shelby Bottom we saw the tadpoles with hind legs. Then we rode home and ordered lunch from ML Rose. The guys rode back over to Jake's house after lunch (12.5 miles was not enough of a bike ride for Daniel, even hauling me).

When Daniel got back home we cleaned up and around dusk we headed out for a walk with Magnus (he's not a fan of the sun). We went 2.5 miles with him while trying to figure out what was going on at the Amphitheater in Cumberland Park. It shut down before we made it over, but it was still a absolutely beautiful walk.

Today we head back into the grind of the work week.
