This June I was blessed to get to celebrate my Granny’s, Martha Schauefele, 80th birthday. Wednesday morning I headed to the Nashville airport to pick up my Uncle Jay who flew in from Washington DC for the celebration.

We’ve had an amazing holiday weekend. Thursday after work we met at the Downtown Nashville Library to vote for the new Nashville Mayor. After voting we spent some time checking out the “Nashville Civil Rights” & “Violins of Hope | Strings of the Holocaust” exhibits at the library, then we walked home. When we got home
My little container garden is beginning to feel really amazing. I started the majority of the plants this year from seed, and they’re really feeling like viable plants and not something I’m just begging to stay alive.
The Carter family is overjoyed to welcome Felicia’s new husband, Kaarthik, to the family! Kaar is a special person, I think we knew he’d be in our lives for a while after their first visit Dad and Mom (Jim and Betty) Carter. This past weekend a lot of the family got together there again to celebrate their marriage.

Daniel and I are blessed with three wonderful women to call Mother and Grandmother – my Mom, my mother-in-law, and my Granny. These three ladies made us who we are and continue to support and love us to this day. We’re beyond grateful, so would like to take a minute to reflect on the joy
Daniel and I really love our weekends, we try to make the most of each and every one of them. Before heading to the park, while it was really pouring down, we had some feathered visitors trying to stay dry on our balcony. How cute the little couple was. I was very happy they posed
Daniel and I are very excited about this semesters classes! Our pottery class always fills up fast, so we stayed up on the 29th until the website allowed us to sign up for our classes. We have signed up for four between the two of us this semester (Daniel is skipping the Qigong Movement class).
